The works presented here are inspired by previous works by other artists, both classic and contemporary, in painting and sculpture, but also literature and film. As such, they enter a dialogue with the original work - sometimes critical, affirmative or even humourous - reinterpreting or creating variants of well-known masterpieces, and providing insight into moments in art history, as well as a pretext for reflection on cultural heritage and the role of art as a tool for interpreting and understanding reality.
