When the surrounding space plays a significant role in the appearance, creation or meaning of an artwork, that work is usually called an 'installation' With installation art, the artist directly uses the exhibition space or even designs it themself. In this long-running exhibit of works that permanently belong to the MOCAK collection, 14 works that form a direct relationship with a neutral environment are displayed. Some of the works annex the interiors they occupy, others become a part of their geometry, and others still make use of isolation, revealing fragments of their private worlds.
