Fragrance of Time is a poetic theatrical impression of the world of childhood, inspired by the works by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Hugo Claus and Emil Zegadlowicz, combined with the author's/creator's of the show personal experiences, Jerzy Zoń. Many colourful, at times dreadful, and at times amusing situations typical of a Polish small town in the 1920s and 1930s are reenacted here. It is a universal tale about childhood, adolescence, fear and cruelty, but also about love. No words are spoken, just Tchaikovsky's music played on harmonicas by the actors. The use of stilts and pyrotechnics make the show particularly spectacular. The KTO theatre gives here a display of the style and tradition of medieval street theatres.
