Józef Czapski was a Polish artist and author. The exhibition of his paintings, drawings, and diaries from the collection of the National Museum in Krakow, as well as from the collections of Krystyna Zachwatowicz-Wajda and Andrzej Wajda, is the most complete presentation of Józef Czapski’s paintings at the Józef Czapski’s Pavilion. He was a prolific painter as well as a writer of essays on art, literature, and philosophy. In his diaries, he carefully observed the relationship between words, drawings, watercolours.
