Each winter the Stanisław Lem Experimental Garden hosts the ‘Garden of Lights’ - a paid family attraction comprising 6 hectares of elaborate illuminated installations in the open-air. This year’s theme is the Smurfs, and inside you’ll see dozens of these glowing blue-skinned imps, their mushroom houses and their nefarious nemesis Gargamel. Amongst the litany of light and sound attractions are a long, luminous tunnel, a multimedia Christmas tree, a field of 60,000 twinkling lights and interactive games to test your memory and perceptiveness. Although, in our opinion, this is the kind of thing that looks better on social media than IRL, it’s sure to delight younger kids and a nice opportunity to be outside in the crisp air on an early winter evening. Food and drinks are available and the attraction is easily accessible by tram (get off at ‘M1 al. Pokoju’).
