Kraków Music Centre is a major new cultural investment currently under construction near Cichy Kącik at the western end of Błonia Meadow. Conceived as a long-awaited home for Kraków’s leading orchestras, the complex will include a large concert hall for symphonic performances, a smaller chamber hall, and rehearsal and educational spaces. The design emphasises both acoustics and accessibility, combining modern architecture with landscaped surroundings to create a multifunctional cultural campus rather than a single-purpose venue.
The centre will serve as a hub for the city’s musical life, and the new home of Kraków's two leading orchestras - Capella Cracoviensis and Sinfonietta Cracovia - while also hosting international performances and community programming. Created out of the city's lack of a modern, purpose-built symphonic venue, the project has nonetheless faced controversy and significant delays. Currently it looks like it will open in late-2027 or 2028.
