Tucked away behind a historic palace right in the heart of Kraków, this new open-air hangout spot was an absolute sensation when it opened in 2025. Combining gastronomy, greenery and cultural events, Ogród (Garden) is essentially a large courtyard oasis full of lawn chairs with several shipping containers serving food, a bar, a stage and a steady, diverse line-up of events ranging from children's theatre to film screenings to DJs and jazz concerts.
Ogród's garden features dining tables, deck chairs, hammocks, a sandbox and more.
The brainchild of culinary blogger Marcin Rusiński - better known as 'Maro Kafaro' - Ogród offers the chef's own signature menu, served out of multiple outdoor kitchens, featuring rotisserie chicken, kebabs, kiełbasa, pizza and a few vegetarian-friendly snacks. The prices are fair, and the bar has a full range of beer, cocktails and drinks (though ordering them can sometimes be maddening). Overall, the strength of Ogród is the casual laid-back atmosphere of the spacious beer garden, which appeals to students, families, and aging hipsters alike. A perfect lowkey place to congregate with friends outdoors on sunny days, weekend evenings promise live music or DJs, while a wider range of indoor and outdoor events is expected as this cultural space continues to evolve. Look to their socials for the latest updates, and find the entrance along the side of the palace under the large mural.
