Ólafur Arnalds

Over the past decade or so the Icelandic composer and multi-instrumentalist Ólafur Arnalds has earned a spot in the upper echelons of the small island nation's musical royalty, alongside the legendary Björk and Sigur Rós. His shows combine pianos, strings, drums, percussion and all manner of electronic accompaniment, including 'two semi-generative, self playing pianos that Ólafur and his team have spent over two years developing', making each performance a unique auditory world unto itself. We've never seen him perform live before and this will be his first concert in Slovenia, but his music is heart-stoppingly beautiful and is all but assured to make the eyes of those in attendance a bit watery.
