In the 1980s, The Young Gods revolutionized the radically innovative use of the untapped potential of the samplers, not only squeezing their pioneering musical expression, but also thoroughly transforming rock music as a whole. David Bowie, Mike Patton, Sepultura and Devin townsend were listed for influence,and albums were released by publishers such as Ipecac, Play It Again Sam, Wax Trax! and Interscope, which testifies to the breadth and progressiveness of their music.
