ZIYP: Your place for coffee, going out at night?
Marijana: I like to drink coffee on Kvaternikov Square and the weekends are usually reserved for concerts at Tvornica Kulture and neighbourhood places in Vrbik - Limb, Frka or Prostor do (Spunk) within the National and University Library complex.

ZIYP: Where do you go to relax?
Marijana: Active holidays, like going to Sljeme, are becoming the perfect way to relax more and more.

ZIYP: What is your recommendation for a trip around Zagreb?
Marijana: Vuglec Breg or Majsecov mlin. They are both in the heart of Zagorje. In addition to the great food and drinks, the atmosphere is beautiful and they are both an ideal destination for an all-day family outing.

ZIYP: A place for shopping?
Marijana: I prefer shopping in the city center, which turns into a walk with a break for coffee (and cake!) and the discovery of some new interesting buildings. From the new architecture, I am inspired by the new Music Academy building on Trg maršala Tita.

ZIYP: What do you recommend as a souvenir?
Marijana: On Varšavska Street, in the city center, is the Aquarius Music Shop or the so-called, 'mecca for music lovers.’ Autumn has arrived, so I would recommend an album, which is called just that - 'Autumn' - featuring talented singer-songwriter from Zagreb, Sara Renar.

ZIYP: Any advice on what visitors should try from the local specialties?
Marijana: I recently tried samoborska greblica (miners cake). Simple, yet tasty! I would also recommend the pub Medvedgrad, which produces it’s own great beer and is a great place to eat.
