A new outdoor exhibition of sculptural works by renowned Croatian sculptor Ljubo de Karina runs until May 20. The show, “Maske”, features expressive sculptures that explore form, volume, and space with a distinct artistic language. De Karina’s works are known for their strong connection to nature, the Mediterranean landscape, and mythic themes, with sculptures placed harmoniously throughout the park as independent three-dimensional objects. The exhibition is part of a broader cultural effort to make this unique open-air gallery a highlight of the local art scene.

Archipelago of Imagination, KARTOGRAFIJE – Journey through the Lauba Collection, March 31 – April 8, Lauba – House for People and Art, Zagreb
Lauba celebrates 15 years with the exhibition “Arhipelag mašte”, the second installment of the KARTOGRAFIJE series, showcasing works from its permanent collection. The exhibition invites visitors to explore a “map” of imaginative artistic worlds, featuring pieces by prominent Croatian and international artists such as Lovre Artuković, Kristian Kožul, Ivana Franke, Braco Dimitrijević, Nina Ivančić, and many others. Key highlights include monumental oils reinterpreting classical motifs, playful sculptures blending pop culture and critique, and works that encourage multiple readings and personal interpretations. Kviz Collection, March 12 – May 17, Dubrovnik Art Gallery, Dubrovnik
The Boris and Jelva Kviz Collection is finally presented in full, showcasing masterpieces of 20th-century Croatian painting. Highlights include Josip Račić’s first Self-Portrait, Vlaho Bukovac’s Pet ćutila, and works by Miroslav Kraljević, Vladimir Becić, and Miljenko Stančić. Spanning realism, symbolism, modernism, and expressionism, the collection offers a unique journey through Croatian art history, presenting a rich and diverse panorama of styles and themes.


Festival of Peculiar Families, April 10 -12, Kopilica, Split
The 7th edition of this unique contemporary circus festival transforms Kopilica into a vibrant open-air cultural hub. Bringing together artists from Croatia and across Europe, the program features circus performances, live music, exhibitions, and interactive workshops. Special attention is given to family-friendly activities, including acrobatics and juggling workshops for children and adults. Kultur Shock – 30 Years of Optimism Tour,  April 21, Pogon kulture, Rijeka

BSH Open Air – Joseph Capriati, April 18, Tenis Centar Maksimir, Zagreb
One of today’s most sought-after house and tech-house DJs, Joseph Capriati, performs in Zagreb for the first BSH open-air event of 2026.
