[closed] Chez Toi
Long tables with benches, framed photos hanging askew and a white tiled bar give this place a certain air of nonchalance, while the crêpes and galettes (thin pancakes) affirm the French connection. The former are made from wheat flour and are usually filled with sweet stuff like chocolate, but the latter are made of buckwheat and come stuffed with cheese, meat and other savoury ingredients. The galette La Valaisanne with smoked ham and cheese was excellent and the same can be said of the crêpe with nuts and chocolate. Specials are also available including all-you-can-eat crêpes (which you fry at your own table) on Wednesday evenings and a brunch buffet can be enjoyed on Saturdays and Sundays. In short, Chez Toi is an adorable establishment that's a little off the beaten track, but well worth a visit.
