The focus here is on the ground we stand on - earthquakes, vulcanos, weather, avalanches and more. Located in the ETH, Zurich's polytech and the country's most successful university, this is a museum firmly based on science. And that science is displayed with quite some high-tech: there are interactive screens, specimens under the telescope and a huge globe on the surface of which you can control earth-changing processes like climate change or plate tectonics. And then there's the earthquake simulator! (Only accessible on guided tours.) Of course, focusTerra also has tons (literally?) of geological samples, including some stunning crystals.
