The highlight of this region is the Mythen massif consisting of two striking rock pyramids you can see from afar. While a hike to the the top of the bigger pyramid is breathtaking, it's very steep and only for experienced hikers. However, a ride with the Rotenflue cable car to the foot of the rock pyramid certainly is for everyone. There are also some easy circular trails up there, not to mention a restaurant and some spectacular vistas. Check its website for other activities in the region.
