The night gives us some hours. Portals take time, they ask us to linger. useless land is a compilation of fictional and theoretical texts that speak about a pre-industrial-revolution world. These are texts that draw a cognitive map of other possible relations and perspectives of the human relationship with the environment, animals, ghosts, plants...
We invite the public to spend the night with us, laying down and listening. The texts are read out loud by us until sunrise. The night gives us time to digest through our mouths and your ears. Each guest will prepare a soft-surfaced island, and connect to a collective terrain, a space where sleeping is a way of understanding the world. Voices pouring into the ears, weaving stories. A wasteland. A need to trust the community of people we sleep with, a need to accompany each other through the distance. A vigil state where we can be together in dissension, speaking different languages and dreaming different dreams, between wakefulness and slumber.
