The 23rd Baltic Sail event is a perfect reminder of Gdańsk's maritime traditions which helps to keep the cities of the former Hanseatic League connected. Its members include: Gdańsk, Klaipeda, Rostock, Karlskrona, Nysted, Riga and Szczecin. Every year the event attracts visitors from all over the world. As always, it will be open to anything that floats, from tourist yachts to motorboats, which will also be made accessible to anyone who wants to learn more about the maritime history and customs. The visitors will also have an opportunity to sail around Gdańsk's Bay on one of the vessels or watch the Nord Cup Regattas. The attractions prepared on land will take place on Ołowianka Island, among them: battle re-enactments, Shanties under Crane, and for those wanting to relax there is always the Baltic beach. The yachts' parade will close the Baltic Sail.
