While parts of the historic district old Wrzeszcz are becoming increasingly attractive and fashionable there’s still not a great deal of choice for a good place to spend the evening. Our favourite is probably this one, a cosy and friendly bar/café set in an old shop front overlooking the refurbished ul. Aldony. We don’t know where they got the name Kurhaus, literally meaning Spa House, as it bears no resemblance to some of the magnificent examples carrying the same name that we’ve seen in Germany and the Netherlands, but it has its own, limited charm. Find a range of craft beers including the Polka beer from the Kashubian brewery at Bytow and some rather good coffee too.
