Newtown's hip fashion and design emporium Work Shop New Town and the trendy Maboneng Precinct are joining forces this Human Rights Day to host the 745th Street Store, part of the international charitable movement Street Store. The Street Store gives homeless people the opportunity to 'shop' for free for clothing and other essentials donated by the public at the Street Store pop up. If you would like to participate by donating goods for the homeless, bring your items (such as clothes and shoes, note these should be in a condition that can be used) to the Office Space at Work Shop New Town before March 21. Donations of packs of sanitary pads are also welcomed.

The street store will take place on Human Rights Day (March 21) at the Common Ground urban park (Beacon Rd) in Maboneng. For more details on how to donate to the 745th Street Store contact Work Shop New Town at hello@workshopnewtown.com
