Swallow's Inn is one of the longest running Chinese restaurants in Joburg. Located in the 'original' or 'First' Chinatown on Commissioner Street in the city centre, this famous restaurant is a reminder of the long history of Chinese business and culture in Joburg.

It is planned that guests on this tour will meet at the Sunnyside Park Hotel in Parktown before driving together to the old Chinatown area for a guided historic tour of the area (be sure to check with organisers the day before in case the meeting point changes). This will be followed by a five to six course simple Chinese-style lunch and a talk on the history of Joburg's Chinese community.

Starts at 11:00. Costs R200 (including meal), booking essential. Call +27 11 482 3349 or email mail@joburgheritage.co.za to book.
