The international bestselling author Kate Mosse (best known for the archaeological mystery thriller and 2006 British Book Awards Best Read of the Year Labyrinth), launches her latest book, The Burning Chambers, the first novel in a new three part series of historical novels. Described as "a gripping story of love and betrayal, mysteries and secrets; of war and adventure, conspiracies and divided loyalties " the first novel is set in mediaeval France in the turbulent Languedoc region where two lovers find themselves divided by the sectarian violence which is pulling the country apart.
Mosse will be discussing the inspiration for her new trilogy and outlining its broad scope which takes in 16th Century France and 18th Century South Africa via Toulouse, La Rochelle, Paris and Amsterdam with literary critic Michelle Magwood.
