In addition to its excellent museums, what was once a prison and a colonial fort is now the venue for Constitution Hill's Christmas Market to welcome the end of year festivities. Enjoy a day of fun activities for the whole family that includes chance to do all your Christmas shopping in a historic setting, and candlelight Christmas carols at dusk.

You can expect artisanal goods from local artists, and a variety of handmade homeware and decor items, colourful jewellery, accessories, and vibrant fashion items.

Delicious food stalls are plenty to pick from, and be warned that the aroma of meat cooked on the fire will be enough to get you hungry. Drinks include beer on tap. 

Entrance to the market is free, although Constitution Hill encourages you (as do we) to support the toy drive and bring a gift that will go to less fortunate children.
