Keeping the kids entertained at home during an extended lockdown is a challenge, although many local institutions are innovating to host inventive and interactive online experiences to stimulate young minds.

On Sat May 23 Joburg's French library Dibuka are hosting a kids cooking workshop streamed live on the IFAS Culture Facebook page. The workshop is led by top chef Joey Atchama beaming in live from Reunion Island to show the little ones how to make a yummy 'chocomisu' dessert. 

The recipe requires simple ingredients which it is of course advisable that you prepare in advance: milk, chocolate powderr, eggs, sugar, lady finger biscuits and mascarpone, cottage cheese or cream cheese.

The class is ideal for kids aged 7 to 12 years and starts at 11:00. Tune in on Facebook here.
