Actress and singer Elzabé Zietsman presents Femme Is Fatale, her one-woman English/Afrikaans cabaret. Originally meant to premiere in March 2020, this passionate and powerful new production made its debut at The Bioscope in May 2022 and this year, the production takes the stage during Women's Month. Featuring songs written by Bruce Little and directed by Eloise Clasenabout, Femme Is Fatale uses song and storytelling to dig into the chronic scourge of gender-based violence and femicide in South African society.  

The performance centres on three women, Marna, Lian, and Khanyi, who are all trying to ride out life’s challenges and realise their dreams of a better life. However, like countless other women, they are confronted with gender-based violence. These three women not only share chasing their dreams, but they also get confronted by the same monster:
