Free tour for International Museum Day at the Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre

In celebration of International Museum Day on Thu, May 18 the Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre is offering a free tour of their permanent exhibition which explores the history of the Holocaust and genocide using a variety of visuals and audio with authentic objects, photos and words of survivors, bystanders and perpetrators. Attendees will also have access to their two currently running exhibitions; Eva's Story: The Promise (running until Sun, Aug 20) which tells the story of holocaust survivor Eva Schloss and her brother Heinz's artwork as well as Elias Mendel Letters to Yesterday (running until Tue, May 30), a collection of photographs examining Mendel's German Jewish history and Germany's memorial culture of the Holocaust.
