The sweeping score of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera in three acts has been specially rearranged for this romantic ballet version based on Alexandre Dumas’ tragic love story, <em>the Lady of the Camellias</em>. Dumas’ famous book tells a story of love, sadness, and aristocracy in 19th century France where lead character Marguerite Gautier lives a life of opulence which attracts many admirers, but still lacks love until she meets the young bourgeoise gentleman Armand who convinces her to end her life as a courtesan.<br /> <br /> The role of the tragic heroine is danced by Shannon Glover, Burnise Silvius and Claudia Monja.
