Fri Jan 27 – Jan 29  Celebrate local Soweto culture at the Makhelwane Festival, with a superb line-up of activities, great food and cool people. The programme includes something for everyone – from family friendly things to do, to catering to those with an entrepreneurial interest.

Jan 28 – Jan 29 Mall of Africa closes off January with a super line-up of end-of-season sales at their Shopping Weekend Out.

We need to remember so it never happens again

Thu Jan 26 - Commemorate the 78th anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz with the Johannesburg Holocaust and Genocide Centre on  International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The centre's mission is to keep alive the message of tolerance.
