Jozi Film Festival

Thursday Sep 17 - Sunday Sep 20       44 Stanley, 44 Stanley Ave, Milpark
On a mission to support the city's vibrant film community and reach new audiences through the evocative language of cinema, The Jozi Film Festival is an annual event showcasing the latest films from both South African and international filmmakers.

This year's Jozi Film Festival is a 'hybrid' event with film screenings happening online and at the cinema. A selection of films will be screened at The Bioscope at 44 Stanley, while 30 films are also available to stream on-demand for a cost of just R120 for all 30 films. The festival runs for three days only this year - September 17-20, so we recommend getting online ASAP to check out what you want to watch from this year's festival programme!

Films from the 2020 Jozi Film Festival being screened at The Bioscope include a collection of fiction and documentary shorts as well as features including Okavango, a documentary about life in Botswana's Okavango Delta and A New Country, a film by Sifiso Khanyile about the changes that have come about in South Africa in the last 20 years, and the work that still needs to be done.

Find the full film schedule online and start watching here at the Jozi Film Festival website.
