Cape Town-based guitarist Keenan Ahrends takes to The Orbit’s stage ahead of a performance at the prestigious Cape Town Jazz International Festival later this month.

An energetic jazz innovator Ahrends has collaborated with South African and international jazz icons such as Herbie Tsoaeli and Buddy Wells, and the Keenan Ahrends Quintet features a number of emerging jazz stars such as saxophonist Sisonke Xonti (the second half of electronic house duo Deluge).

Performing tracks from Ahrends' debut album Narrative, the Keenan Ahrends Quintet promises to take the audience on a musical journey through interpretation and rediscovery.
