For five blocks between Harrison and Von Brandis Streets in the Joburg City Centre stretches the Kerk Street market, known particularly for its fresh fruit and vegetables, vendors selling traditional beaded skirts, necklaces and knobkerries and a plethora of barbers and hairdressers who ply their braiding and weaving skills from stools on the street.
