One of Joburg's leading artist studio collectives, The Bag Factory, and innovative Joburg-based art gallery Guns & Rain join forces for a unique month-long pop-up exhibition hosted in Oxford Parks, a sparkling new pedestrian-friendly precinct just launched next to Rosebank.

The venue in the new development is a soaring pop-up space, suitable for presenting a unique range of large and small scale works, ranging from sculpture and collage to painting and works and paper, as well an eye-catching 4 metre-long hand-stitched patchwork titled Queer Pride by Sizwe Sama Sibisi.

All the works in the show are recent creations by predominantly young up-and-coming artists, many of them referencing the extraordinary times that we are currently living through.

The long list of featured artists include Bev Butkow, Candice Kramer, Dimakatso Mathopa, Lebogang “Mogul” Mabusela, Joe Turpin, Malebona Maphutse, Richard “Specs” Ndimande, Sandile Radebe, Bevan de Wet, Sizwe Sama Sibisi and Tawanda Takura.

The pop-up is open Tue-Sun 11:00-14:00 until May 10 or by prior appointment. To arrange a visit after hours email info@bagfactoryart.org.za or call +27 11 834 9181.

Located at Oxford Parks, 199 Oxford Road, Dunkeld (between Jellicoe Ave and Eastwood Rd).
