Film fanatics will enjoy Mother's Day at Joburg's favourite independent cinema The Bioscope with a special screening of the 1990 classic Mermaids starring Cher, Winona Ryder and Christina Ricci. 

Mermaids follows an unconventional single mother (Cher) who relocates with her two daughters Charlotte (Winona Ryder) and Kate (Christina Ricci) to a small town in Massachusetts in 1963, where a number of events strengthen and challenge the family's relationship with each other and their journey towards self-discovery.
