After its successful debut season in 2018, South Africa's all-star cricket league Mzansi Super League, inspired by similar T20 leagues such as the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Australia's Big Bash, returns for another colourful season of twenty over cricket this November and December.

The Mzansi Super League (or MSL) is made up of six teams: the Jozi Stars, Durban Heat, Tshwane Spartans, Cape Town Blitz, Nelson Mandela Bay Giants and Paarl Rocks. Each team boasts a local and international marquee player while the rest of the squad comes from professional cricketers from South Africa's provincial cricket leagues and from overseas.

Joburg's Jozi Stars are the 2018 Mzansi Super League champions and will be defending their winning position with a big hitting star lineup that includes Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada and the 'Universe Boss' aka West Indian batsman Chris Gayle who will return for six matches. Meanwhile retired Proteas legend and IPL mega-star AB de Villiers returns to the crease to play for the Tshwane Spartans at Centurion.

Whether you are cricket fan or not, an afternoon or an evening out at a Mzansi Super League match is great fun for all the family with cheerleaders, fireworks, prizes and giveaways and very festive atmosphere.
