The Goethe-Institut celebrates the art of spoken word that transcends languages and cultures with a Poetry Kaleidoscope event on Sat, Jun 10. Immerse yourself in an afternoon of cultural exchange through poetry and spoken word, highlighting the rich literary traditions of South Africa and Germany. 

This extraordinary event features a line-up of internationally acclaimed poets who will leave you spellbound, hosted by Quaz Roodt. Renowned poet Felix Römer, from Germany, is known for his electric slam poetry and ground-breaking use of language. It's a unique opportunity to see Römer in action as he takes to the stage for his first-ever performance in South Africa.

Representing South Africa's vibrant literary scene is Hope Netshivhambe, a talented storyteller hailing from Venda, Limpopo. Netshivhambe has shared her captivating work far and wide, both locally and internationally, with an unwavering belief that the world revolves around words. Her performances always leave a lasting impression.

The 2022 World Poetry Slam Champion, Xabiso Vili, will also take the stage. Renowned for his contemporary poetry, Vili's words have garnered him awards and well-deserved recognition. Prepare to be moved by his powerful verses.
