SEW WHAT! Fashion KIXperience at The Linden Market Festive Edition (November 2025)

26 Nov 2025
The Linden Market (TLM) wraps up its 10th year with its final market of 2025 – in spectacular fashion. The SEW WHAT! Fashion KIXperience is a market-wide fashion takeover, bringing together local designers and real people wearing clothing made with intention. At TLM's Festive Edition on Sat, Nov 29 and Sun, Nov 30, 2025, this activation transforms the market grounds at Johannesburg Botanical Gardens into a living runway and pop-up studio. Buy your tickets here.

A collaboration with KIX Drinks, the SEW WHAT! pop-up at The Linden Market celebrates making, mending, upcycling, and personal expression. The name blends two ideas: “Sew” reflects the hands-on, intentional philosophy of slow fashion, while “So what?” hints at the confidence to wear what feels right and express yourself freely. The event champions local design, conscious production, and clothes with character. It also highlights why this approach matters:

– Buying local supports South African makers and the community economy
– Slow fashion encourages fewer, higher-quality pieces
– Upcycling gives textiles a second life
– Featuring real people creates an inclusive, relatable space for style

Get involved and win!

The pop-up runs both market days from 09:00 – 16:30, with a fashion show from 12:30 – 13:00 that transforms TLM into an interactive runway showcasing how Joburg really dresses. Visit the stand to try on pieces from the eight participating designers, mix and match looks, and style your own unique outfit. Share your styled look on social media, tagging the designer as well as @thelindenmarket and @kixdrinks, to receive a 10% discount voucher for that designer’s stall and gain entry into a R1,500 fashion giveaway.
