Sophiatown The Mix Music Workshop with Raph Clarkson

British trombonist, composer and educator Raph Clarkson teams up with Sophiatown The Mix to present a special music workshop for children and parents on Saturday February 17. There's no experience necessary and this promises to be a fun day for beginners where you can learn to compose or play a new instrument. Each child must be accompanied by a parent. You can bring your own instruments or book one from Sophiatown The Mix.

Raph Clarkson will also be leading a family music concert on Sunday February 18 and joins in the annual commemoration of the forced removals on Friday February 9, leading a free improv jazz session at the centre from 17:00.

Fri Feb 9 Muso's Brass Band Workshop and free Jam Session. The workshop starts at 13:00. The open jam session takes place from 17:00-19:00. Both events are free.

Sat Feb 17 Workshop for kids aged 3-7 at 09:30-12:30. Workshop for kids aged 8-16 at 13:00-16:00. Costs R100.

Sun Feb 18 Music concert at 16:00. Tickets R20 per person.
