The brainchild of comedians Goliath and Goliath, The Goliath Comedy Club is a local comedy hotspot with two branches that both offer a range of styles from stand-up to improv and guest appearances by A-list South African comedians. The original Goliath Comedy Club is in Melrose Arch, while the smaller and more intimate Braamfontein club finds its home in the basement of The Bannister Hotel.

Shows start at 20:00 and feature a showcase of local comedians each allotted 10 minutes or so to draw the laughs with an interval half way through. On Fri Feb 23 look out for a special rapid fire 20-in-5 comedy night with twenty comedians given just five minutes each on the stage.
