Sinfonietta Cracovia celebrates this year its 25th anniversary. This top-class ensemble displays the precision and flexibility characteristic of a chamber ensemble when in a symphony lineup. The beginning of the Sinfonietta goes back to the establishment of Młodzi Kameraliści Krakowscy orchestra, which won its status of a municipal orchestra in 1994, thus becoming the Sinfonietta Cracovia Orchestra of the Royal Capital City of Kraków. Robert Kabara (violinist and cellist) had been building the image of the orchestra for 20 years, developing its individual style. Jurek Dybał (the Vienna Philharmonic musician) took over in 2014, thus continuing its innovative path to becoming one of the most dynamic European ensembles. The celebration of the orchestra's 25th anniversary, particularly famous for its renditions of contemporary music, involves the concert in Nuremberg on October 13th, featuring the guest performance by the world-famous clarinetist, Daniel Ottensamer. Next, the orchestra will tour Asia, performing in South Korea and China. Upon returning from the tournée, Sinfonietta Cracovia will perform their extraordinary concert at ICE Kraków on November 9th. The orchestra, led by Jurek Dybała, will perform the compositions of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, John Corigliano, among many others. The guest artist will be Martin Grubinger, a well-known multi-percussionist. But that is not the end! Right before Christmas, on the 22nd of December, the orchestra will perform at the Tauron Arena, and the guest artist will be none other than the legendary tenor, Placido Domingo.
