This wide-ranging exhibition at the National Museum explores the concept of modernism in Poland during the interwar period, covering such weighty topics as what it takes to create a new state or introduce sweeping social reforms, including the underlying philosophical debates, as well as how all of this impacts individual and national identity. If that sounds incredibly interesting, yet perhaps a bit overwhelming, don't worry, as the exhibition itself consists of various works of art and technical inventions, from architecture to fabric designs and furniture to other everyday objects. A very fascinating approach to understanding an equally fascinating era.
