Artists from Krakow. The 1950-69 Generation

Oct 30 - May 30 2021       ul. Lipowa 4
share
The third in a series of exhibits at MOCAK that focuses on artists directly associated with Kraków, this time the subject is artists born in the 1950s and '60s. Across an array of various media, the exhibit aims to show the manifold trends that inspired that particular generation of artists, as well the sources of their inspiration. Growing up in the reality of the People's Republic of Poland (PRL), one thing that ties these artists together - in addition to their relative age, schooling and city setting - is the way that art provided a personal freedom for them that they were denied in other aspects of their lives during the communist era.
