Czyżyny Hangar
Built in the 1930s as a hangar for aircraft, during World War II this massive pavilion was used by the military and bombed twice. After the war it was repaired and stored civilian aircraft up until 1963, when the accompanying airport was closed and the facilities were adopted by the Municipal Transport Company in Kraków, who used it as a bus depot with repair and maintenance workshops. Today the building is being thoroughly renovated as a branch of the Museum of Engineering & Technology (MIT), which will house their large collection of historical transport vehicles.
