This unique exhibit at the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology will deconstruct both Eastern and Western depictions of nature in culture. From the paintings of Stanisław Wyspiański to the prints of Hiroshige, the thematic core of the exhibition will encompass a world of aesthetic sensibilities. The conceptual underpinnings of ‘Kachō-ga stretch far beyond strict aesthetics, however, entering both philosophical and theological realms.
