Kiełbaski z Niebieskiej Nyski

ul. Grzegórzecka 3 (Plac Targowy) ,   Kazimierz         13 Nov 2023

This legendary sidewalk sausage stand has been a Cracovian street food institution for over thirty years, dating back to 1991. Here two old boys in white smocks set up shop outside their blue Nysa (a Polish PRL-era van) every evening except Sundays to grill kiełbasa sausages over a wood-fired stove for the hungry, drunken masses. For 15zł you get a delicious sausage, slightly stale roll, ketchup, mustard (made at the Konik factory in Kraków) and an unforgettable experience. Kraków's first food truck, don't miss it if you're in the neighbourhood.

The Nysa van was was Polish, not Soviet. It was manufactured in the town of Nysa, Poland, from 1958 until 1994. Widely used throughout the country, mainly for supply to stores. Also in the police version and as an ambulance. This one is probably one of the last existing (and still working) cars of this make.
Thank You for a good advice. Kielbasa was perfect.
