Kraków's largest, most modern cinema complex when it was built in 1967, Kijów has managed to maintain its status over the years, despite its architecture having gone well out of vogue. The cinema features three projection rooms with comfortable seating; commercial films are shown on the biggest non-IMAX screen in Kraków, while art films and festival entries screen in the second two. There is also a cafe on-site and the basement is sometimes used as a concert and events venue.
