This annual month-long event is one of the largest photography festivals in Europe, filling Kraków's best galleries, cafes, museums, cultural centres, and even more unique locations like public parks, private flats and post-industrial spaces, with dozens of individual and collective photo exhibitions. Typically happening from mid-May to mid-June, Photomonth not only sees dozens of traditional photography exhibits open in various venues across town, but also hosts lectures, tours, seminars and guided tours - many of which are available online. The festival's ShowOFF section premieres artists making their professional debuts, while FRINGE section aims to blow up the accepted conventions about art and art spaces.
