After a little bit of a well-deserved break following a successful tour in Germany, Paula & Karol are back in Poland, promoting their and discussing their trials with their album, Our Town. Nine years ago, they took the Warsaw independent music scene by storm with their contagious enthusiasm, modesty, and their English-language tracks (though the duo has Polish roots, they were both raised abroad). When they started out, they were performing on sidewalks and backyards just as much as in big concert halls—and they quickly became pioneers in what was then still a newly-emerging indie folk scene in Poland.
