Well-positioned for popularity on Doubting Thomas Lane, Pijalnia’s around the clock crowds make it hard to miss. Flooded inside and out with students and street urchins, Pijalnia seems to be at the forefront of this tried and trendy formula: offer cheap drinks (4.50zł and up) and a small menu of traditional vodka and beer snacks (all costing 10zł) in dingy environs that conjure communist nostalgia while simultaneously being a subtle backlash against the increasing cost and ostentation of the city's nightlife. Did we get that right? Essentially the anti-cocktail lounge, Pijalnia's faithful have us in the fold for being one of the city's most fun destinations at (almost) any time of day or night (they only close for two hours in the morning), and for making vodka blindness cool again. Finally. Also at ul. Floriańska 34, ul. Szewska 20 and Pl. Nowy 7, with the latter two locations offering seasonal gardens to boot.
