Formerly known as Astrid, the new owners have mostly kept the style and menu of this cute Scandinavian-style cafe intact, preserving one of Kraków's most unique destinations for breakfast/brunch. Offering a range of sweet and savoury Nordic-style day-starters, choose from Scandi classics like the 'Tost Skagen' - buttered bread piled high with tiny prawns, dill, caviar and creme fraiche; or 'Smørrebrød' - traditional Danish open-faced sandwiches with avocado, salmon and cream cheese, or herring and wasabi crème fraîche. Handsomely served on classic Polish Bolesławiec tableware, with delicious coffee, tea or wine, the food feels like it came straight out of a lifestyle magazine, and the charming interior, with its timber ceiling and Sunday-morning soul soundtrack (no Abba!), does a great job of creating a cosy, hygge atmosphere. As a result, it can be a bit too popular on weekends, but drop in on a weekday afternoon and you'll have the perfect place to write your children's book. Fans of the Scandinavian climate should note the small Swedish bakery (Kaffe Bageri Stockholm) around the corner (ul. Łobzowska 17), which serves delicious Swedish cinnamon buns.
