Certainly Kraków's best, most authentic Thai restaurant, Taj offers a stylish and exotic alternative to the city's more traditional restaurants. Spacious, stylish and filled with an assortment of Asian graphics and greenery, this popular eatery appeals to wide swath of the local population, including businessmen, students, families and first-daters. The vast menu includes a wide variety of soups, street food, and traditional Thai comfort food with a modern twist, including satay, spring rolls, tom yum, papaya salad, colourful curries, pad thai, mango with sticky rice and other Thai favourites. The diversity of the dishes and their versatility makes this a great option for vegetarians and vegans, who have an absolute bounty of options. Take note that dishes here can be very spicy: your idea of 'medium hot' and that of the all-Thai kitchen staff could be quite different. Although not the cheapest meal in town, portions are very generous, and budget lunch sets for only 39.80zł are served every weekday from 12:00-16:00 - a great way to try something new. In addition to delicious Thai cocktails, mocktails and Thai beer, they even have their own craft beer that you can take home! The success of this large locale in Kazimierz has unsurprisingly spawned a second in the Old Town at Szpitalna 9. Enjoy!

Was there with the extended family, who are Polish, and they could not handle the heat. The waitress gave fair warning that some of the dishes were spicy and a couple wujeks went ahead and ordered them anyway. They couldn't eat them and were actually upset with the chef for making it so spicy. Moral being, that when they say it's spicy, it's truly spicy ;)
