The Maidens of Wilko, created by Agnieszka Glińska and Marta Konarzewska, is an interesting interpretation of Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz's novel by the same title. The play adaptation gives the voice to the women instead of the protagonist of the novel, Wiktor. The important questions are asked - what are life-altering decisions, does personal freedom exist and to what extent we are in charge of our own fate? The Maidens of Wilko is a thought-provoking, excellent play showing at Stary Theatre.
