Jan Matejko was a Polish painter known for paintings of notable historical Polish political and military events, whose works include large oil on canvas paintings like Rejtan, Union of Lublin or Battle of Grunwald. At the exhibition "Matejkos. The Next Generation" visitors will have a chance to get to know Matejko's children, Tadeusz, Helena, Beata, Jerzy, Regina, and his grandchildren, who created many caricatures, composition sketches for the artist's paintings, pencil and watercolour works exhibited here. The exhibition also includes family photographs, letters, official documents, souvenirs, and many items from Matejko's private collection.
